North Platte, Neb., May 18, 2023 – Great Plains Health (GPHealth) is partnering with Vetter Senior Living (Vetter), and will be transferring the Great Plains Health Home Health & Hospice service line to Vetter, effective July 1, 2023.
One of GPHealth’s strategic objectives is to ensure access to quality care. Since Vetter is already providing community access in home health and hospice to our region, GPHealth is pleased to support Vetter in their area of expertise and transfer home health and hospice operations to them. The partnership puts patients first because it allows Vetter to further serve within their niche, and allows GPHealth to leverage resources in other areas of community need.
“We are pleased to partner with Vetter once again on an arrangement that ensures our community’s continued success,” said Ivan Mitchell, CEO, GPHealth. “We see firsthand the high quality and care that Vetter provides, and this partnership simply makes sense because of Vetter’s excellent focus in world-class home health and hospice care.”
Vetter is a highly respected and well-established regional leader in providing services and living options for rehabilitation, independent living, assisted living, skilled nursing, home health care and hospice. Vetter operates 28 facilities in Nebraska, including three in North Platte: Linden Court, Linden Regency and Linden Estates. Vetter specializes in the broad care continuum of home health, as well as shares GPHealth’s commitment to the Greater Nebraska community.
“GPHealth and Vetter are united in our mission to serve this community,” said Glenn Van Ekeren, President, Vetter. “We are truly invested in the North Platte area, and have a mutual goal of offering the very best care to home health and hospice patients across the region.”
Vetter is an industry authority and a valuable community partner that helps meet the need for home health and hospice care in Greater Nebraska.
GPHealth and Vetter have a history of collaboration and shared vision for Greater Nebraska. Vetter Health purchased Regency Retirement Residence from GPHealth in 2020 in an arrangement that complemented Vetter’s existing services in the area.
