Behavioral Health Center

The Great Plains Health Behavioral Health Center features a nineteen-bed, newly-built inpatient treatment center Great Plains Health Psychiatric Services and three outpatient programs. Our state-of-the-art facility offers highly-secured areas, a recreation center, dining area, gathering area and all private rooms.

As leaders in treating behavioral health illnesses, our goal is to provide the best and most confidential care possible for patients experiencing mental illness.

Our multidisciplinary treatment team consists of psychiatrists, nurses, occupational therapists, recreational therapists, social workers, a licensed mental health practitioner and a dietitian.

Inpatient psychiatric unit

For patients 15 years of age and older with a physician’s admission order who may be:

  • Unsafe at home.
  • Dealing with a major crisis.
  • Experiencing a lack of judgment or impulse control.
  • Experiencing suicidal tendencies or disorganized thoughts.
