The staff at Great Plains Health will teach you strategies for living with your lung condition. This will empower and motivate you to a fuller, more self-confident life. The one-on-one program includes closely monitored aerobic exercise and weight training.

What to expect from the pulmonary rehabilitation program

Participants come to our office two or three times a week for 6 to 12 weeks. Every person in the program is given a personalized exercise prescription and works with a respiratory therapist and a nurse.

Criteria for admission

Physician referral with a qualifying pulmonary disease diagnosis (COPD, chronic bronchitis, asthma, bronchiectasis, cystic fibrosis, etc.) is necessary.

Insurance companies generally cover pulmonary rehabilitation with a qualifying diagnosis. If you are not sure about your insurance coverage, you should talk with your insurance company.
