Everyone should have access to the very best heart care possible, no matter where they live. It is this belief that led us to to develop a comprehensive heart and vascular program in North Platte, the only one on the west half of the state of Nebraska.
Together, our board certified and fellowship trained cardiologists offer care that spans from prevention to carotid stents, and a host of interventions in between. You don't have to travel far for advanced heart and vascular care. We're here for you.

Heart attack survivor testimonials
A heart attack can be life-changing.
At Great Plains Health Heart & Vascular Center, our greatest reward is when our patients, like Molly, Rex and Lorraine, go on with their lives with healed hearts and healthier lifestyles.
Here are their inspiring stories—in their own words.
'36-year-olds don't have heart attacks'
When Molly realized she was having a heart attack, despite her young age, she wanted nothing more than to have her husband and her mother by her side. "I couldn't imagine me being somewhere else and not having my family there, even if I just needed a hug from my mom," she says. "I couldn't have asked for better care anywhere."
'The last cigarette I had was about 15 minutes before the heart attack'
Rex's light-headedness and blackout landed him in the Great Plains Health emergency department. It was a turning point. Today he's healthier than ever and enjoying life with his wife and grandchildren again. "You've got everything you need here to recover and to get on the right path," he says.
'You always think it's never going to happen to you'
Lorraine and her husband celebrated the Fourth of July with family and friends at a neighborhood cul-de-sac in North Platte. Cardiologist and neighbor Satya Nelluri, MD, celebrated there with his family as well. Two days later, Lorraine would see Dr. Nelluri again in the Great Plains Health emergency department. She was having a heart attack. Thanks to the quick action of the staff at Great Plains Health, she survived without long-term heart damage.
