NORTH PLATTE, NEB. – In an announcement published this month, Great Plains Health was once again named among the top hospitals in the nation to earn a spot on the Becker’s Hospital Review “150 Great Places to Work in Healthcare.” The 2018 report recognizes health care organizations committed to creating outstanding cultures and offering competitive benefits to their employees.
According to Becker’s Hospital Review, the organizations included in the list encourage professional development among their employees and promote tomorrow's leaders.
“This is a tremendous achievement for Great Plains Health and a testament to how much effort our system directs toward making Great Plains Health a quality place to work,” said Jayne Johnson, senior director of human resources. “We are honored to have received recognition from Becker’s as a ‘150 top place to work in healthcare’ recipient for each of the past two years. We take pride in offering a dynamic work environment where employees can grow professionally and positively impact the patients we serve.”
As part of the designation, Great Plains Health was recognized for its employee satisfaction initiatives, including competitive salaries, aggressive tuition reimbursement, and expansive employee benefits, which include health, dental and vision plans, as well as discounts on such items as meals and gift shop purchases. Great Plains Health also offers a comprehensive rewards and recognition program, in addition to sponsoring multiple events designed to express gratitude to its employees throughout the year.
“Our employees are talented, committed professionals,” said Mel McNea, Great Plains Health chief executive officer. “Providing them a collaborative, respectful and quality place to work is an essential ingredient in both development of our positive culture and the success of our organization.”
