Located 4 hours east of Denver and 4 hours west of Omaha right off I-80
Multiple positions - provide general medical care and management of hospitalized patients. Admit, care for, and discharge patients on behalf of primary care or specialty physicians who refer patients for admission to the Hospital and for unassigned ER, skilled nursing facility, and other patients. Serve as care team leader for all hospitalized patients and evaluate each hospital inpatient at least once daily. Coordinate specialist consults, provide consultation services, and expedite the transfer of patients to the appropriate level of care. Identify discharge needs, provide timely notice and follow-up with primary physicians, and consult as needed to identify non-hospital resources for patients. Prepare and provide all required administrative documentation and diagnoses for coding, including daily notes, admission and discharge summaries, dictation of evaluations, and billing as well as participate in medical staff activities and committees, provide clinical supervision, and assist in quality assurance, medical audits, utilization and peer reviews as well as credentialing and in-service educational programs. Develop and implement programs to expand medical services.
Full-time employment (40 hours/week) in rotating shifts with frequent on-call and weekend duties, as required.
Minimum Requirements: Medical degree or ECFMG equivalent, three (3) year medical residency in Internal Medicine (may include one year of internship or transitional training), Board certified or Board eligible in Internal Medicine, and current Nebraska medical license.
